Overview Join our dynamic team as a Dump Truck Driver and become a vital part of our construction and logistics operations! In this energetic role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, and debris across various job sites. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company standards. Responsibilities Safely operate dump trucks and tractor-trailers on diverse routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load and unload materials accurately using truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight, hazardous materials, or specialized cargo such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers Navigate using GPS systems to reach delivery destinations efficiently while managing route adjustments as needed for timely deliveries Transport goods securely across long distances, ensuring adherence to hazardous materials regulations when handling dangerous goods or hazardous substances Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for mechanical issues, fluid levels, and proper load securement Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery records in compliance with FMCSA regulations Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate pickups and deliveries, ensuring accurate load & unload processes and proper documentation Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with tractor-trailers or dump trucks Strong knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling techniques Familiarity with various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized equipment for automobile transportation or hazardous materials Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle manual handling tasks safely Expertise in GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and real-time adjustments during OTR routes Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), and safety protocols for dangerous goods transportation Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with freight movement across diverse terrains and conditions is preferred Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections, load securement, and compliance documentation Embark on a rewarding career where your driving expertise fuels large-scale projects while ensuring safety at every mile.
