Duties Operate tow trucks and commercial vehicles with precision, including pickup trucks, flatbeds, and heavy-duty tow trucks, ensuring safe handling at all times Respond swiftly to roadside assistance calls, providing towing, jump-starts, lockouts, tire changes, and fuel deliveries as needed Load and unload vehicles using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary, following safe lifting practices Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems and adhere strictly to traffic regulations and safety protocols during route driving and over-the-road (OTR) routes Conduct vehicle inspections before and after each job to ensure proper functioning of equipment such as air brakes and manual transmissions Maintain accurate logs of all dispatches, mileage, fuel consumption, and incident reports through mobile devices or fleet tracking systems Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and team members to coordinate timely service delivery in all weather conditions Skills Proven experience operating standard passenger cars, commercial trucks, shuttle buses or paratransit vehicles with a focus on safety and compliance Strong knowledge of GPS navigation tools, fleet GPS tracking systems, and route planning for efficient service delivery Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols; familiar with manual handling equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts when required Skilled in driving in adverse weather conditions and managing over-the-road (OTR) routes with attention to traffic laws such as air brake regulations Excellent communication skills for customer interactions and coordination within a fast-paced environment Experience with freight transportation including moving loads or freight delivery via vans or heavy haul trucks is advantageous Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; certifications such as commercial vehicle license (CDL), manual transmission proficiency, forklift operation or tanker endorsement are preferred Join us as a Tow Truck Driver where your driving expertise fuels our mission to deliver reliable roadside support.
