On Call 24/7, Some overnight travel required Why This Role Matters The Hot Shot Driver plays a critical role in keeping oilfield operations running by delivering time-sensitive equipment safely and reliably. This is a field-based, high-responsibility role where performance directly impacts customer uptime, job completion, and revenue. Success in this role means operating safely, securing loads correctly every time, and responding quickly to changing demands while maintaining professionalism on active oilfield locations. What You'll Do Safely operate one-ton trucks and gooseneck trailers under DOT and FMCSA regulations Haul oilfield equipment including manifolds, frac stacks, BOPs, and related components Properly chain, strap, and secure loads to ensure safe transport and compliance Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections with zero shortcuts Maintain accurate logs, tickets, and required documentation with attention to detail Operate with strong situational awareness on active oilfield and industrial job sites Follow all customer-specific safety protocols and site requirements Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatch, yard teams, and customers Remain on-call and ready to respond to load requests, including nights and weekends Identify and address potential issues before they impact safety, delivery, or equipment Take ownership of equipment condition, ensuring truck and trailer readiness at all times Support team efficiency by minimizing delays and executing jobs reliably Represent Southern professionally in all customer-facing interactions What You Need to
Succeed Required:
Valid Class A CDL Minimum 3 years of verifiable Class A driving experience Experience hauling oilfield equipment in active field environments Proven ability to properly secure complex loads (chains, straps, binders) Consistent track record of safe driving and compliance adherence; clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years Willingness to travel out of state and stay out of town when required Ability to work on-call, including nights and weekends Strong understanding of oilfield site safety and surroundings Reliable attendance and ability to respond quickly to operational needs
Preferred:
