Full job description Our non-emergency medical transport drivers are compassionate, caring, reliable and responsible individuals charged with getting wheelchair clients to and from hospitals, facilities, homes and safely and on time.
Job Responsibilities:
Show up to work in a timely manner Drive clients to their destinations on time Assist clients as they get into and out of the vehicle Maintain clear communication between dispatch, clients and facilities Report back to the supervisor when clients have been dropped off at their destination Report traffic delays in route back to supervisor Report any incidents or accidents to the supervisor Operate wheelchair lifts as needed while observing safety procedures Adhere to company policies and protocol Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspection for assigned vehicle at beginning and end of shift Qualifications and Education Requirement Must have previous customer service experience with a good track record of assisting customers in a thoughtful, caring and timely manner Valid Driver's License Required Must have Non-Emergency Medical Transport driving experience Must have a high school diploma or GED Must have a clean driving record with no driving offenses, speeding violations Must pass a background check Must be open to take and pass drug test and have a clean history. Must be 25 or older Preferred Skills Know how to keep a level head in a busy environment Must be passionate about helping people Great communication skills A good working knowledge of the Houston area and neighboring cities is a plus First Aid/CPR certification a plus but not required Ability to lift up to 100lbs
Additional Notes:
The candidate for this position will be a great communicator, enthusiastic about the opportunity and have experience in customer service. Training will be provided.
