26ft box truck driver

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and pick ups while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle various driving tasks, including route driving and heavy lifting. Duties Operate a 26ft box truck or for local deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, which may involve heavy lifting. Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status. Handle any necessary paperwork related to deliveries and returns. Requirements Valid Class C or B driver's license preferred; experience with automatic transmission is a plus. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of route driving. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Familiarity with operating box trucks ; experience in moving services is advantageous. Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. A commitment to safety practices while on the road.
