The role of a water truck driver is centered around transporting and delivering water to designated locations, typically within construction or agricultural sites. They are responsible for ensuring the safe operation of their vehicle, maintaining accurate logbook records, and following established safety protocols. Common tasks include filling and emptying water tanks, performing routine maintenance checks, and effectively communicating with supervisors.Responsibilities:
Operate and drive water trucks to transport water to designated locations Perform daily pre-trip inspections and maintenance checks on the water truck Ensure the water truck is equipped with all necessary tools and equipment for the job Follow all safety procedures and regulations while driving and operating the water truck Report any mechanical issues or accidents to management immediately Keep accurate records of water deliveries and truck maintenance Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to water truck driving and operationRequirements:
Valid driving license for operating a water truck At least 2 years of experience in driving heavy vehicles Ability to read and understand maps and directions Physical fitness to perform duties such as climbing in and out of the truck, lifting hoses, and performing basic maintenance tasks Good communication skills to interact with the team, clients, and other stakeholders Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to driving and operating a water truck Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as requiredSimilar jobs in Iowa Park, TX
