(Department of Transportation) regulations Freight Flatbed Full Job Description Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a CDL Class A Truck Driver and take on an exciting role that fuels your passion for driving and logistics! In this position, you will operate tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Your expertise in handling different types of trailers—including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, roll-off truck, and freight loads—will be essential to our success. This role offers an energetic environment where your driving skills and commitment to safety will make a real impact every day. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload freight efficiently using proper techniques, including forklift operation when necessary Transport a variety of cargo such as refrigerated goods, flatbed materials, tankers, or freight loads with precision and care Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards Manage route driving responsibilities, including planning optimal paths for timely deliveries and pickups Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and vehicle maintenance records Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL Class A license Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently Familiarity with different trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other freight carriers Strong ability to load & unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when needed Knowledge of route planning and route driving best practices for timely deliveries Experience with freight handling, especially in delivery driver roles involving load securement and safety protocols Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits and adherence to DOT regulations Embark on a rewarding career where your driving expertise keeps goods moving smoothly!
