Job Summary The Commercial Truck Driver has a Class A Commercial's Driver's License (CDL-A), safely operates commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) day or night in all weather conditions, and the Commercial Truck Driver complies with all safety regulations. Responsibilities The Commercial Truck Driver safely and legally drives company-owned units day or night, on various road types, and in all weather conditions (occasionally over long distances) The Commercial Truck Driver performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment for each job The Commercial Truck Driver accurately maintains driver logs (ELD) The Commercial Truck Driver verifies and completes required documentation and reports Follow instructions and complete the required training Work variable schedule to meet business needs Maintain and utilize required safety equipment Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions and safety meetings, and always utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Other duties as assigned Job Qualifications Minimum 1 year of relevant driving experience, required Maintaining a valid and current CDL-A and a clean driving record, required Minimum 21 years of age, required Familiarity with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, required Able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) pre-employment drug test and physical examination, required Able to pass a road test, required Able to operate both manual and automatic transmissions, required Able to perform Pre- and Post-trip Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) inspection, required Must be familiar with electronic logging devices Clear verbal and written communication skills, must be able to read, write, speak, and follow directions in English Physical Demands The physical demands described here represent those required for an employee to successfully perform the role's essential functions.
