Driver - CDL Falcon Directional - 4.5 Midland, TX Job Details Full-time $24 - $28 an hour 4 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications CDL A Fleet management DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Full Job Description Overview Falcon Directional is looking for a dependable, safety-minded CDL Driver to support our horizontal directional drilling (HDD) operations. This position will be responsible for safely transporting equipment, materials, tools, and other loads to and from jobsites while supporting our field crews. Candidates located outside of the Midland area are encouraged to apply. Travel to Midland will be required, and per diem will be provided for qualifying travel. Travel to other jobsites may also be required depending on project needs. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of keeping equipment and crews moving, and is comfortable working in a hands-on construction environment. Diesel mechanic experience is a strong plus and preferred, but is not required . Responsibilities Safely operate company trucks and other CDL-required vehicles to transport equipment, materials, tools, and supplies. Haul HDD equipment, support equipment, trailers, and materials to and from jobsites. Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment and materials in accordance with company and DOT requirements. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any mechanical or safety issues. Assist field crews with equipment moves, jobsite setup, and general labor as needed. Maintain accurate driving, delivery, inspection, and equipment records. Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and jobsite safety requirements. Communicate with field supervisors and equipment personnel regarding deliveries, equipment moves, and transportation needs. Maintain a clean and organized truck, trailer, and work area. Stocking, organizing, and upkeeping our shop and equipment yard Managing our fleet of work trucks and haul trucks to ensure all vehicles are DOT compliant and current on maintenance Assist with basic equipment checks and minor troubleshooting when needed. Work around heavy equipment, HDD machinery, construction sites, dirt, mud, noise, and varying weather conditions. Perform other duties as assigned to support HDD operations. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A driver's license with a clean driving record. Previous commercial driving experience preferred. Experience hauling heavy equipment, construction equipment, trailers, or similar loads preferred. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe load securement practices. Ability to safely operate trucks and trailers in a variety of jobsite conditions. Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to work as part of a team. Ability to work independently and follow directions. Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, climbing, bending, and working around heavy equipment. Willingness and ability to travel to Midland, TX and other jobsites depending on project needs, when required. Diesel mechanic experience is preferred, but not required. Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to identify equipment issues is a plus. Experience in horizontal directional drilling, underground utilities, construction, oilfield, or other heavy-equipment industries is a plus.
