Job Description

Roadrunner is hiring CDL A Team Drivers to haul freight safely and on time across regional and long haul routes. You'll operate late model tractors, follow all DOT and company safety standards, complete accurate logs and trip reports, and coordinate with dispatch for efficient routing and scheduling. Drivers are responsible for pre trip and post trip inspections, basic equipment troubleshooting, and securement of freight. Successful candidates are safety focused, dependable, and committed to professional customer service while maintaining high on time performance and teamwork with their driving partner. Responsibilities Operate CDL A tractor trailers in team configuration for regional and long haul routes Ensure safe transportation of freight following DOT and company safety policies Perform thorough pre trip and post trip vehicle inspections Maintain accurate logs, trip reports, and required documentation Communicate with dispatch for routing, scheduling, and load assignments Secure freight properly to prevent damage and shifting in transit Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and report maintenance needs Provide professional, courteous service at customer locations Adhere to hours of service and all regulatory requirements Work effectively with co driver to maximize miles and on time delivery Required Skills CDL Class A truck operation DOT and FMCSA compliance Electronic logging devices (ELDs) Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Freight securement Route planning and time management Defensive driving techniques Trip documentation and recordkeeping Communication with dispatch and customers Team driving coordination
