Driver's License Manual transmission Intermodal driving routes Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, containers and dry vans. Transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner while following assigned routes. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and cargo information. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered on the road. Load and unload cargo as necessary, utilizing forklifts or other equipment when required. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation and safety. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license. Proficiency in operating various equipment types such as vans, containers/chassis, and tractor-trailers. Familiarity with route driving and the ability to navigate efficiently using maps or GPS systems. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy loads and securing cargo properly. Knowledge of safety protocols related to freight handling and transportation. Experience in Intermodal transport is preferred, not required. Skilled in operating 10 speed manual transmission preffered.
