  • Solar Water Truck Operator
  • Pay:
  • $24-$26/hour (DOE)
  • Schedule:
  • Monday- Friday 7am-5:30pm , Saturday OT as needed

  • Job Overview
  • We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused
  • Water Truck Operator
  • to support utility-scale solar construction projects. This position is responsible for operating a water truck to control dust, maintain access roads, support grading activities, and promote safe working conditions across the jobsite. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and following strict site safety requirements.
  • Essential Responsibilities
  • + Operate a water truck safely and efficiently throughout the solar construction site.

+ Control dust on haul roads, work zones, laydown yards, and access routes.

+ Monitor water levels and refill truck as needed throughout the shift.

+ Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

+ Complete operator logs, maintenance reports, and safety documentation.

+ Coordinate with supervisors, equipment operators, and construction crews to support daily production goals.

+ Assist with general site housekeeping and maintenance activities as needed.

+ Identify and report equipment issues, safety concerns, or site hazards.

+ Follow all company, client, OSHA, and site-specific safety policies.

+ Maintain clean and organized equipment and work areas.

  • Qualifications
  • + Previous experience operating a water truck, dump truck, tanker truck, or similar heavy equipment.

+ Valid driver's license (CDL required with tanker endorsements).

+ Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and varying weather conditions.

+ Experience on construction, solar, civil, earthwork, or heavy industrial projects preferred.

+ Strong attention to safety and situational awareness.

+ Ability to perform physical duties including climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, and walking on uneven terrain.

  • Preferred Experience
  • + Utility-scale solar construction experience. + Earthwork, grading, or roadway construction experience. + Knowledge of dust-control practices and jobsite traffic patterns. + OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Work Environment
  • Outdoor utility-scale solar construction site. Candidates should be comfortable working on large job sites, operating equipment on uneven terrain, and meeting daily production goals in a safety-focused environment.
  • Job Type & Location
  • This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $23.

00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
