$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Job description: Full job description Debris Removal Crew Member (Driver & Laborer - Non-CDL) Central Texas (Sonora Area) $18.00 per hour + $200 Monthly Attendance & Safety Bonus TXDOT Highway Debris Removal Project Position Overview Sundrop Gardens LLC is hiring dependable, safety-focused Debris Removal Crew Members to support a Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) highway debris removal contract. This role combines driving (non-CDL) and manual labor responsibilities. Crew members may operate company vehicles and assist with debris collection and roadway operations as part of a coordinated team. This is a project-based position supporting a one-year TXDOT contract. Compensation $18.00 per hour Overtime paid at 1.5x for hours worked over 40 in a workweek $200 Monthly Attendance & Safety Incentive Bonus (all-or-nothing) Paid the month following the completed work cycle Based on perfect attendance, punctuality, and safety compliance Schedule & Duration Project-based schedule (approximately 12 workdays per month ) Not guaranteed 40 hours every week When scheduled, shifts may be up to 10 hours per day Ongoing monthly contract Responsibilities Collect and remove roadway debris along TXDOT highways Load debris into trucks or designated disposal areas Operate company trucks (non-CDL required) Remain in assigned vehicle during collection operations when driving Follow all TXDOT and company safety procedures Wear required PPE at all times Maintain awareness of traffic and surroundings Report hazards, incidents, or mechanical issues immediately Debris Types Encountered Dead animals Tires and tire fragments Wood, furniture, mattresses Household appliances Scrap metal Requirements Valid Texas Driver's License No CDL required Clean driving record Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly Comfortable working outdoors in heat and varying weather Ability to stand, bend, and perform manual labor for extended periods Must follow all safety rules Dependable and punctual PPE & Dress Code Company provides: High-visibility safety vest Hard hat Safety goggles Work gloves Employees must provide: Work boots Jeans or durable work pants Employment Eligibility Employment is contingent upon successful completion of: Form I-9 E-Verify verification Applicants must present required identification at onboarding.
