Full Benefits Duties:

Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle with a manual transmission and flatbed trailer to haul steel materials and products to and from customer locations and job sites. Secure all steel loads using appropriate equipment such as chains, binders, and tarps, ensuring full compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer, documenting findings and reporting maintenance issues promptly. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes while maintaining on-time deliveries and adhering to all federal, state, and local traffic laws. Communicate regularly with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse staff regarding load information, delivery schedules, and any potential delays. Accurately complete logbooks, inspection reports, and delivery documentation as required by DOT and company policy. Operate any required equipment safely (e.g., forklifts, cranes, or winches) for loading and unloading, when trained and authorized. Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the truck, trailer, and equipment at all times. Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and strong attention to detail when handling and securing heavy steel products.

Qualifications:

Valid CDL Class A license (with a clean driving record) Minimum of 2 years of flatbed driving experience Ability to operate manual transmission trucks Experience hauling steel or other heavy materials preferred Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and cargo securement requirements #Skilled1125
