Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable company equipped with a fleet of ten vacuum trucks to efficiently haul non-potable water. This role involves managing the transportation of large volumes of non-drinking water across various routes, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. The ideal partner will demonstrate expertise in commercial truck operations, logistics coordination, and adherence to federal and state regulations. This opportunity offers a vital service in supporting infrastructure, environmental management, and industrial operations through safe and timely water hauling. Responsibilities Operate a fleet of vacuum trucks to transport non-potable water safely and efficiently across designated routes. Ensure all trucks are maintained in excellent condition, adhering to scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance protocols. Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and other relevant safety standards during all operations. Utilize GPS navigation systems for route planning, real-time tracking, and efficient delivery scheduling. Load and unload non-potable water using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment, ensuring cargo security at all times. Manage logistics cargo handling, including documentation, manifests, and delivery records for each trip. Follow all safety procedures related to hazardous materials, including proper containment and hazard communication when necessary. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery activities in compliance with regulatory requirements. Coordinate with dispatch teams to optimize route driving, reduce delays, and improve overall operational efficiency. Skills Proven experience with commercial truck driving, especially tractor-trailer operations involving flatbed or tanker configurations. Skilled in GPS navigation systems for route optimization and tracking purposes. Familiarity with over-the-road (OTR) driving routes and long-distance logistics cargo handling. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently while adhering to FMCSA regulations. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving, truck loading/unloading, and safety protocols. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; ability to manage route driving efficiently under various conditions.
