Company Description:
Established since in 1974, Overland Companies has been a reputable and reliable warehouse/distribution center conveniently located in La Porte, Texas. Since 1990, Overland Distribution has served a large part of the businesses and steamship lines involved in the import/export industry, through the partnership of Houston's Port Authority. We have over 90% of our own chassis so you don't have to haggle with steamship line chassis Fleet consisting of over 45 trucks that are kept in high standard of maintenance and cleanliness Automated dispatching through a company phone to reduce the haggle and stress of dispatching Clean Roadside Inspection payment program Driver Referral Program Medical, Vision and Dental Insurance option Direct Deposit Weekly Respectful and Communative company all through the work enviroment
Driver Position Requirements:
Class A CDL with minimum of 2 years of current driving experience up to the time of application. CDL restriction for Automatics Only will NOT be accepted. TWIC card Medical card Good driving record Consistent daily attendance Port/Rail terminal experience is a plus but not needed (depending on class A driving experience). Take on a one on one basis.
Driver Duties:
Safely and efficiently transport containers Monday - Friday (no weekends/no overnight) Weekend work subject to change Communicate with Dispatch/Operations and Safety on an openly, effective and clear manner. Follow all DOT regulations
