Job Description

Summary:
A Wausau Supply Company Driver operates a gasoline or diesel-powered tractor-trailer combination to transport, unload, and deliver products to customers safely and efficiently. The Driver is responsible for understanding and supporting all company goals, including quality control and maintaining high standards of workmanship. This role requires anticipating potential issues that could impact long-term objectives and taking proactive steps to prevent them. To be effective, the Driver must demonstrate strong communication skills and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally. Professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to customer service are essential to success in this position. Duties to include, (but not limited to): Adherent to all safety standards set in place by Wausau Supply CompanyComplete safety trainings in a timely mannerComplete a pre-trip and post-trip inspection on the tractor and trailerCheck Load and secure to D.O.T. Regulations. Make sure the load is safe and legal before movingDrive truck safely and legally to customer locations and return to the distribution centerOpen curtains, unstrap product, count and check product for damage and shortagesAssist receivers in unloading and loading the truck as neededMaintains driver logs and inspection reports according to D.O.T. regulationsAlways maintain good housekeeping and a professional imageMust be able to work flexible schedule, with availability for occasional overnights to support business needsUse and follow company portals (Samsara, Cheetah, etc.) when making customer deliveriesAdherent to expense policies and procedures set forth by
Wausau Supply Company Education/Experience:
Minimum one year, 100,000 miles driving experience - preferred, but not requiredMust have a clean driving record
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must possess a Class A CDL with air brake endorsementMust be able to pass a D.O.T. PhysicalMust pass a DOT Pre-employment drug test Working Demands /
