Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a range of commercial vehicles, tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers and flatbeds, while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. As a vital link in our logistics chain, you'll ensure timely deliveries, maintain compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, and uphold the highest standards of vehicle operation and cargo handling. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual or automatic transmissions, on over-the-road (OTR) routes and local deliveries. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or truck loading/unloading equipment, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel efficiency. Transport various types of freight such as refrigerated goods or occasional flatbed load shipments in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for truck condition. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and route adjustments as needed. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving in various environments. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules and safety protocols related to truck driving. Experience handling logistics cargo such as freight loading/unloading or manual handling of goods. Ability to operate different types of trucks including tractor-trailers with manual transmission options. Strong navigation skills using GPS systems for efficient route planning on OTR routes.
