Transport Driver Position Summary We are seeking a responsible and reliable Transport Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles to transport equipment to various destinations. The Transport Driver will be expected to adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations while providing excellent service and maintaining a professional attitude. Key Responsibilities Safely operate vehicles to transport goods, materials, or passengers to assigned locations in a timely manner. Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring accuracy and proper handling. Follow designated routes, use navigation tools, and adapt to changing conditions as necessary. Maintain accurate records of mileage and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with Foreman, and team members to coordinate logistics and address any issues. Adhere to company policies, traffic regulations, and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle issues promptly to the appropriate personnel. Represent the company professionally at all times. Required Skills and Competencies Excellent driving skills with strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety standards Ability to operate various types of equipment as required Good communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Dependability and punctuality Capability to work independently with minimal supervision Basic problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing routes or schedules Required Qualifications Valid CDL-A Clean driving record with no major violations High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 4 years of professional driving experience Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs or more Preferred Qualifications Experience transporting equipment Familiarity with route management software or GPS technology Basic mechanical knowledge or ability to perform minor vehicle maintenance Customer service experience First aid or safety certifications Compliance Statement Our company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
