Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across diverse routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. As a key player in our logistics network, you will ensure timely load and unload operations while maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in route driving and vehicle handling will drive our success forward, providing essential services to our clients with energy and professionalism. Responsibilities Safely operate a range of trucks including manual transmission vehicles, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight across designated routes. Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper securing of loads to prevent damage during transit. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractor-trailers and other vehicles to verify safety compliance and vehicle readiness. Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered during routes. Assist with special freight handling requirements such as refrigerated goods or hazardous materials when applicable. Requirements Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving environments; delivery driver experience preferred. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle type; endorsements for tanker or hazardous materials are a plus. Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and familiarity with various trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using equipment like forklifts when needed; experience with load securing is essential. Strong knowledge of route planning and driving safety regulations across different jurisdictions. Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and perform vehicle inspections or cargo handling tasks as required.
