In this role, you will be responsible for operating Class A commercial vehicles to transport equipment, materials, and supplies to and from job sites and to customers safely and efficiently. Your expertise in handling various types of trailers—including flatbed, lowboy, dump truck, roll-off, and tractor-trailers—will ensure timely deliveries and excellent service. Duties Safely operate CDL A commercial vehicles across local, regional, or occasional long-haul routes Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring proper handling and securement Drive a variety of trailers including flatbeds, lowboys, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks based on delivery requirements Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with federal regulations Route driving efficiently to meet deadlines and delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols Communicate effectively with both the team and with customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries Experience Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and experience operating Class A commercial vehicles Proven truck driving experience with a focus on equipment hauling, including route driving and load & unload operations Familiarity with operating flatbeds, lowboys, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is highly desirable Ability to handle various freight types safely and efficiently while maintaining proper load securement procedures Experience using forklift equipment for loading/unloading cargo is a plus Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial drivers Prior experience in equipment and materials hauling or similar positions involving freight transportation Join us as a CDL A Truck Driver and become an essential part of our excavation operation!
