In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of trucks, including dump trucks and flatbed trailers, to transport construction materials and equipment to job sites. Your expertise in route driving, load & unload procedures, and vehicle maintenance will ensure timely deliveries and smooth operations. Responsibilities Safely operate a Commercial Class B truck with manual transmission across various routes to deliver construction materials and equipment. Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate tools such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring proper handling of heavy or delicate items. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels to maintain optimal safety standards. Manage delivery schedules by planning routes effectively, adhering to deadlines, and adjusting for traffic or weather conditions. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including hours of service and safety protocols. Communicate professionally with customers, site managers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on Class B commercial vehicles such as dump trucks. Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently.
