Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting logs or chips across various routes while ensuring timely delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of truck operations, including experience with different types of trailers and driving conditions. A commitment to safety, arriving on time, working set hours, and working as a team is a must. Weekly bonus pay is available based on performance. Responsibilities Operate and drive tractor-trailers, log, and chip trailers. Ensuring proper handling and securing of logs. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption as required by DOT regulations. Communicate with the job foreman regarding routes and efficient load delivery. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck to uphold company policy. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL CLASS A) with a clean driving record. Experience in truck driving, particularly with manual transmission vehicles. Familiarity with various log trailers is required. Ability to perform physical tasks of dropping and hooking to trailers. Strong knowledge of route driving within specified regions. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Working five days a week.
