In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely towing, recovering, and transporting vehicles in a variety of situations. Your expertise will help drivers get back on the road quickly and efficiently, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction at every turn. Duties Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to recover and transport vehicles safely and efficiently. Conduct vehicle inspections to assess mechanical issues, perform minor repairs, and troubleshoot basic problems using automotive diagnostics tools. Secure vehicles onto tow trucks following cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit. Perform vehicle recovery towing in various environments, including accident scenes and roadside breakdowns. Load and unload vehicles carefully, ensuring safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks with manual transmission or automatic systems. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns professionally. Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, vehicle conditions, and incident reports for operational records. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving or car towing with a valid driver's license suitable for heavy-duty or commercial vehicles. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, minor mechanical repairs, and basic vehicle troubleshooting. Familiarity with cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading techniques to ensure compliance with safety standards. Skilled in conflict management to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally. Hands-on experience with flatbed tow trucks or other specialized towing equipment is preferred. Knowledge of vehicle mechanics for truck drivers enhances your ability to assess issues quickly on-site. Demonstrated ability to drive manual transmission vehicles confidently across diverse terrains while maintaining safety standards.
