Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers across long-distance routes, ensuring timely delivery of freight while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in handling various types of cargo, including refrigerated, hazardous materials, and specialized loads, will be essential to maintaining our high standards of service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced logistics environment where your driving skills and commitment to safety make a real impact. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers on OTR routes, covering extensive distances across multiple states while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Transport diverse freight types, including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, flatbed loads, tankers, and automobile transportation. Use GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes, monitor traffic conditions, and ensure timely deliveries. Load and unload cargo safely using manual handling techniques and proper equipment; secure freight properly to prevent damage during transit. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load security. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and compliance records in accordance with regulatory standards. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the route. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL Class A license. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for transporting dangerous goods. Expertise in driving various truck configurations such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers. Proficiency with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time traffic updates. Ability to handle manual transmission trucks confidently and perform manual handling tasks for cargo loading/unloading. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service during delivery driving operations.
