AmeriStaff Employment & Staffing Solutions is seeking a Box Truck Driver for a client in the Martinsville, VA area. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to manage transportation and material handling between multiple plant locations. Benefits of the
Box Truck Driver:
Monday-Friday schedule, 9:00 AM - 5:00
PM Pay:
$16/hr. Responsibilities of the
Box Truck Driver:
Transport materials between multiple plant locations, including Plant 1 & 2, PFW, PC, PFP, and other designated areas Coordinate and prioritize pickups and deliveries to ensure timely and accurate material flow between departments Maintain knowledge of all storage areas and materials, including film products, to ensure correct delivery locations Pick up and return reusable packaging materials such as pallets, boxes, endplates, and end plugs as needed Utilize SAP and RF scanner systems to transfer and track inventory between locations Load and unload materials using a tow motor in an efficient and safe manner, maximizing space utilization Maintain company truck by ensuring cleanliness, proper upkeep, and that all inspections, tags, and tires are up to date Read and interpret pick lists and inventory documentation to accurately locate and transport materials Adapt to changing priorities and perform additional transportation duties as needed Work overtime as required Requirements for the
Box Truck Driver:
Valid Virginia driver's license Tow motor (forklift) certification or ability to obtain Experience operating a tow motor safely and efficiently Basic computer skills, including ability to use SAP or similar systems Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions Good physical condition and ability to handle material movement tasks Positive attitude and strong work ethic #
