Non- Emergency Medical Transportation Driver Department:
Operations Reporting to: Transportation Manager Must live in Northern Virginia SUMMARY Provide the transportation of patients/clients to and from hospitals, convalescent facilities, dialysis centers, rehabilitation centers, medical offices and their private residences in a safe, secure and professional manner.
REQUIREMENTS 1.
Must understand and adhere to the All Points Assisted Transportation Employee Handbook, Driver Manual, and Driver Training outline. 2. Must meet the minimum age requirement of 21 years or older. 3. Must have a valid driver's license and provide an up-to-date DMV printout. 4. Must have no moving violations or 'at fault' accidents within the past 3 years. 5. Must pass a mandatory pre‐employment drug and alcohol screening. 6. Must successfully pass a mandatory criminal background check. 7. Must successfully complete a mandatory pre-employment training.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Transport patients and clients in a safe and professional manner using company vehicles. 2. Communicate clearly with dispatch to report schedule progress and receive instructions. 3. Exhibit a professional image and attitude when interacting with clients, visitors, and co-workers. 4. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and ensure the vehicle is kept clean. 5. Support clients and patients as needed to ensure a safe transfer. 6. Must understand instructions in English, both written and verbal. 7. Must be able to accurately complete activity logs and vehicle reports. 8. Must be able to understand and operate GPS devices, and cell phones. 9. Perform all duties as assigned by All Points Assisted Transportation. 10. Must be physically capable of safely stepping up and down stairs, securing clients for transport, lifting up to 50 lbs., and transporting wheelchair-bound patients across both paved and unpaved surfaces.
