Job Description

CDL Class A Truck Driver Must have CDL for 1 year minimum with a good driving record and verifiable experience per insurance company. One week paid vacation after 1 year of employment. Two weeks paid vacation after 5 years of employment. Paid weekly - Every Friday - Direct deposit available at your request. Must complete daily drivers log. Operate tractor-trailer according to state and Department of Transportation and Company requirements. Swaps out trailers both in yard and at customer sites. Inspects truck and completes inspection reports on a daily basis. Report any vehicle maintenance issues/malfunctions.. Obtain customer paperwork from dispatcher prior to leaving Direct Wood Products. Transports load over required route to in-state and out-of-state customers, observing all traffic laws and regulations. Obtains shipping bills of lading and necessary signatures and returns completed paperwork to dispatcher upon return to Direct Wood. Informs dispatcher of any issues/complications with a delivery. Works and drives in all weather conditions. Position requires walking, bending, and sitting for long periods of time. Normal visual and hearing abilities required. Lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted on an occasional basis. Ability to drive over-the-road tractor trailer. Must be able to meet DOT physical and mental requirements and pass substance abuse screening.
