Pay Range:
$29-$32/hour Overview "We Haul Wholesome" at Dairy Farmers of America - the leading milk marketing cooperative and dairy food processor within the United States. Our CDL drivers transport raw milk fromfarmtoprocessingplants. We are passionate aboutthe farmer-owners, the dairy industry, and supplying consumers with safe and nutritious produc ts. Pay & Benefits Home daily Generous vacation (144 hours, 1st Year) and paid holidays Competitive pay - weekend premium, OT available and eligible for bonuses 401(k) with company match Medical, Dental, Vision insurance Schedule Rotating Schedule General Purpose Safely and efficientlyoperate DFA tank trailers to transport raw milk fromfarmordepotto plant. Drive over a variety of streets,highwaysand rural access roads. The driver must follow the dispatch schedule and directions from the driver supervisors. Driversare required totake quality control samples at farms, measure the milk loaded into trailers, and minimize thetruckidle times and conserve fuel consumption. We expect our drivers to operate safely and legally at all times. Job Responsibilities Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance withDOT, DFA
Commercial Motor Vehicle, and safetypolicies Perform various physical tasks including lifting, connecting and disconnecting hoses, climbing a ladder and safely hooking and unhooking trucks and trailers. Verify proper documentation (Load number/Seal numbers/etc.) to validate load delivery and destination Disassemble, clean, and re-assemble trailer pumps to maintain proper cleanliness at a food grade level Always represents DFA positively and professionally during interactions with customers, or regulatory personnel Licensing and Certification Valid Class A CDL in state of residence Tanker endorsement (or able to obtain ) Education and Experience High School diploma or GED preferred 1+ year CDL experience or FMCSA-approved driving school graduateNecessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be at least 21 years of age Knowledge of DOT rules and safety regulations Must meet MVR requirements, DOT requirements, pre-employment backgroundrequirements Clear English communication (written and verbal) Basic math and measurement skills Must be able to workindependently An Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/VeteransBenefits
