Job Description Truck Driver Description:

The employee drives a combination flatbed truck. The employee is responsible for the transport and deliver of lumber products. The employee occasionally operates a forklift to load and unload the truck. The employee must also secure the loads on the trailers by tossing nylon straps over the load and tightening the straps in winches affixed to the sides of the trailer. The employee is also responsible for performing daily inspection of the tractor or power unit and both trailer and to make minor repairs or adjustments using simple hand tools such as pliers, screw drivers and wrenches. The driver is responsible for the load he or she hauls. Therefore, the employee will supervise the loading of the trailers to ensure load is positioned properly. In addition to inspections, loading, securing loads, unloading and driving, the driver also fuels the truck daily. Qualifications:

Ø Must have a class A CDL Ø Ability to drive in both Oregon and Washington Ø Must be able to work overtime and weekends Physical ability: Ø Must be able to work up to 10 hours per shift Ø Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds as needed Ø Must be able to pass a drug screen and adhere to a no drug policy Shift hours and days of work: Ø Dayshift hours
