Job Description
Are you a safety-conscious driver looking for a stable, full-time career with great pay, benefits, and the chance to be home every night? LeMay Centralia, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a reliable and motivated Class B CDL Driver to join our team in Centralia, WA. Previous waste industry experience is a big plus—but not required. We're happy to train the right person! The schedule is Monday-Friday, 45-55 hours per week. Must be able to work holidays. The starting pay $28/hr with annual pay increases and bonus opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely operate a garbage truck on designated routes to collect solid waste. Waste experience is preferred but not required. Read route sheets and service each customer listed or assigned by the dispatcher. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires. Perform a physically demanding job, including loading and unloading, sometimes without assistance. Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities. Interact courteously with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Requires extensive physical activity, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds. Work environment involves exposure to physical risks, such as moving mechanical parts, requiring basic safety precautions. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including frequent wet and/or humid environments, as well as fumes and vibrations.Minimum Job Requirements:
