The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive repair and mechanical knowledge, along with excellent customer service skills. This role involves responding to roadside assistance calls, safely towing vehicles, and providing exceptional service to customers in need. Duties Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow vehicles, to transport disabled or improperly parked vehicles. Assess vehicle conditions and determine the best towing method based on the situation. Provide assistance to stranded motorists, ensuring a positive customer experience. Perform minor automotive repairs as needed to facilitate safe towing. Maintain accurate records of services performed and vehicle conditions. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on tow truck equipment to ensure safety and reliability. Manage conflicts with customers calmly and professionally while adhering to company policies. Skills Proficient in automotive repair with a solid understanding of mechanical systems. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Conflict management skills to handle challenging situations with professionalism. Experience driving tow trucks and familiarity with various towing techniques. Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety protocols. Capability to operate forklifts as necessary for vehicle handling. Familiarity with flatbed towing operations is preferred.
