The Food Market Driver operates various loads and unloads a 24' delivery box truck, making pick-ups and deliveries of food, supplies, and other food and non-food materials. The Food Market Driver also performs order picking and building at the central warehouse. This is a combination of deliveries and warehouse work for our free food markets for our nonprofit serving, greater eastside of Redmond, Kirkland, Bellevue and Carnation and Shoreline to name a few locations. We offer paid training! Minimum of 1 year of experience driving a delivery truck or similar vehicle. No special license is required; driver safety training provided. At least 5 years of general driving experience. Ability to lift 60 pounds regularly. Pallet jack experience preferred. (training provided) Forklift experience preferred. (training provided) Valid driver's license with proof of good driving record; proof of current personal automobile liability insurance. Examples of what you will be doing: Operate company delivery vehicles according to safe driving practices and follows all traffic laws. Keep Warehouse clean and organized. Weekly order-building for Hopelink's five brick and mortar food markets. Assist Warehouse Manager with management of perishable and non-perishable inventory. Assist with monthly and annual inventory reports. Lift up to 60 pounds using safe and effective loading and unloading techniques. Complete necessary paperwork; assure accuracy of invoices. Assure proper maintenance and cleanliness of vehicle. Responsible for fueling each truck. Pick-up and delivery are made via loading docks and/or by use of vehicle lift gate. Operate manual and electric pallet-jacks.
