  • Level 1
  • 1st Shift 6am-230p M-F Support the Shipping Department by ensuring safe transport of deliveries to customers, and/or facilities affiliated with Safran.
Deliver raw materials, supplies, tools, and finished goods to local Safran facilities. Transport raw materials, supplies, tools, and finished goods within the facility and between the home facility and local warehouses. Assist the Shipping Department with packaging and staging of deliveries. Loading and unloading trucks. Driving forklifts. Entering information into ERP system. Receiving actions. Verifying inventory. Active participation in operational improvement activities. Willing to cross train or transfer to other departments as needed. Other task as needed and flexibility is key. Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, additional training or experience is preferred. Less than 2 years. Have or be able to attain certification to operate forklift. Familiar with Windows Operating System® and MS Office®. Basic knowledge of driving routes, map reading, and staging and freight preparation. Able to load and unload trucks. Understanding of shipping department tools and tool usage (i.e. powertools). Have a sincere desire to work and be able to work independently or with a team to complete tasks in a timely manner. Prior shipping/receiving or warehouse experience is required. Forklift experience. Heavy lifting/moving is part of this job. Up to 75lbs. Team lift, forklift, etc. are available. Must be highly motivated and able to work independently as needed. Prior experience with an ERP system preferred. Basic MS Office skills required Good basic math skills. Good reading comprehension to follow work orders. Able to speak/read/write English proficiently. Legible handwriting/printing. Ability to balance multiple tasks/priorities.
