Job Description

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking Truck Drivers to join our team for the upcoming potato harvest season. As a Truck Driver, you will play a vital role in the successful harvest and transportation of potatoes from the fields to storage facilities. Your responsibilities will include driving 10-wheeler potato trucks, loading potatoes in the field, and unloading them at designated potato storage locations. You will work collaboratively with a team of drivers and operators to ensure a smooth and efficient harvest operation.

Responsibilities:

Operate 10-wheeler potato trucks in a safe and responsible manner. Load potatoes onto the trucks in the field using appropriate equipment. Transport loaded trucks from the fields to designated potato storage facilities. Safely unload potatoes at the storage locations, adhering to proper unloading procedures. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate truck movements. Perform inspections on trucks to ensure they are in good working condition. Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with other drivers, equipment operators, and supervisors to optimize harvest operations.

Qualifications:

No CDL required Proven experience in operating 10-wheeler trucks or similar vehicles. Familiarity with agricultural operations and equipment is a plus. Ability to work long hours and varying shifts during the harvest season. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety. Physical stamina to load and unload potatoes and perform other physically demanding tasks.

Note:

Positions are temporary and seasonal, running from September 14th to the end of October. The exact hours and scheduling may vary based on harvest needs and weather conditions. Applicants should be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances during the harvest season.
