Join our dynamic team as a Local Driver specializing in Flatbed and Specialized Trailers! In this energetic role, you'll be the backbone of our local delivery operations, ensuring freight reaches its destination safely, efficiently, and on time. Your expertise in handling various trailer types—including flatbeds, and step deck and double drop—will drive our success forward. Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks, including flatbed, step deck and double drop for local deliveries. Ensuring proper securing of cargo on flatbeds and specialized trailers. Execute route driving efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance standards. Manage documentation accurately for deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle to ensure safety and operational readiness at all times. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a background check in order to deliver to military bases. Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on flatbed or specialized trailers. Skilled in experience with tractor-trailers preferred. Knowledge of route planning and delivery procedures within local areas. Familiarity with handling various trailer types. Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
