Job Description

Summary Details of position: We are looking for a boom truck operator who will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, filling orders accurately, transferring material, picking up returns, delivering various building materials in stock and special ordered, helping customers in a professional manner and excellent customer communication skills. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with filling of customer sales orders.
  • Assist in managing proper inventory levels including keeping the yard neat, clean and orderly.
  • A working knowledge of building materials and willingness to learn new ones.
  • Takes responsibility to properly store and care for all inventory.
  • Meets and communicates company safety information.
  • Deliver material to job sites.
  • Operate a boom truck for deliveries
  • Help customers fill their orders.
  • Ability to make responsible decisions and problem-solving skills when it comes to meeting customer requests.
  • Exhibits strong customer service characteristics with co-workers and customers alike.
  • Stays focused to complete the daily tasks Qualifications/Experience and or Education Class A CDL Required High School diploma or general education degree; or one to three years related experience.
Supervisory experience and some building material knowledge preferred but not required. Physical Demands The physical demands are as follows: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk or stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 125 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must pass all DOT regulations/physical drug and alcohol test etc.
