Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various trucks and heavy-duty vehicles to deliver materials, equipment, and supplies efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in commercial driving, coupled with mechanical knowledge and experience handling different types of trucks, will ensure timely deliveries and excellent service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced logistics operation while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles including front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to transport goods and materials. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques or mechanical equipment such as front loaders or forklifts when necessary. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety compliance and proper functioning. Follow designated routes and schedules diligently, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Assist with heavy lifting tasks during loading and unloading processes to ensure efficiency and safety. Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and other documentation required for compliance purposes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license. Mechanical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks including dump trucks, flatbeds, tractor-trailers, front loaders, rear loaders, and roll-off trucks. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently. Skilled in load & unload procedures with an emphasis on safety and efficiency. Experience with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate equipment or manual techniques. Familiarity with different truck types such as dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers for diverse delivery needs. Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial transportation. $26.34 - $31.72 per hour
