Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and reliable Delivery Driver specializing in dump truck operations within the landscaping industry. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting landscaping materials, soil, gravel, and other bulk supplies to various job sites. Your enthusiasm and commitment to safety will ensure timely deliveries, excellent customer service, and smooth operations. Responsibilities Operate dump trucks and box trucks safely and efficiently to deliver landscaping materials to multiple locations. Load and unload materials using manual handling techniques, or material handling equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices. Follow established routes and traffic regulations to ensure punctual deliveries and maintain compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers via mobile devices to confirm delivery details and provide updates. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Assist with shop operations by moving materials within the yard, using manual handling equipment as needed. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring deliveries are made accurately, professionally, and with a positive attitude. Qualifications Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with dump trucks, box trucks, or similar commercial vehicles. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial truck driving experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safe lifting practices in a workplace setting. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as skid steers when necessary. Strong organizational skills for route planning and delivery scheduling. Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and customers professionally. Physical ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly throughout the workday while maintaining safety standards.
