Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and professional Bakery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely delivering bakery products to local grocery stores and restaurants while maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a valid driver's license, and strong driving skills. The Bakery Driver plays a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries and upholding the company's reputation for quality and dependability. This job will normally be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. There could be an occasional Wednesday if our relief driver needs off. Duties Safely operate bakery delivery vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload bakery vans. Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules. Communicate effectively with managers and customers regarding delivery times, delays, or issues. Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs and report any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and documentation for each trip. Ensure the security of bakery products during transit and handle any special delivery instructions with care. Requirements Valid driver's license with a safe driving record. Prior delivery experience is helpful. Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact professionally with customers. Physical ability to load/unload bakery products. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries across assigned routes.
