Job Description

STG Logistics (Formally XPO) is seeking a local CDL A Truck Driver to support our containerized logistics network. In this role, you'll run daily local routes hauling containers between ports, rail ramps, and distribution centers, returning home every day. You'll perform safe, compliant operations with thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, accurate logkeeping, and adherence to all DOT regulations. Working within our performance-driven, safety-first culture, you'll collaborate with dispatch and terminal teams to ensure on-time service, excellent customer communication, and continuous operational improvement. Responsibilities Safely operate a CDL A tractor-trailer on local routes Haul and deliver containerized freight to and from ports, rail ramps, and distribution centers Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs Follow all DOT, safety, and company compliance standards Coordinate with dispatch and terminal staff for efficient routing Ensure on-time pickups and deliveries with excellent customer service Secure and handle freight according to company procedures Report equipment issues and incidents promptly Support a safety-first, performance-driven team culture Required Skills CDL A tractor-trailer operation Local pickup and delivery driving Container and intermodal freight handling DOT safety and compliance knowledge Pre-trip and post-trip inspections Electronic logging device (ELD) use Backing and maneuvering in tight spaces Basic vehicle troubleshooting Time management and route planning Customer service in freight delivery
