Under the direction of the Shipping Supervisor, the CDL Driver/Spotter moves loads of material and finished goods between production facilities and warehouse locations in the metro-Milwaukee area. Requirements for
Effective Performance:
Safely operate trucks to deliver goods to warehouses within a local area Handling loading and unloading of cargo when required Perform regular inspections and maintenance of a vehicle Keep accurate records of miles driven, deliveries made, and inspections performed Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies including size, weight, and route designations Maintain effective communication with management, traffic, customers, and co-workers. Effective Performance:
High School Diploma or GED Required Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
Skills/Abilities/Specifications:
Proven experience as a CDL truck driver Ability to provide good judgment, commitment to safety, and solid communication skills Comprehensive understanding of road safety and vehicle regulations Experience driving under varied conditions
Behavioral & Environmental Requirements:
Maintain a positive work attitude. Zero Zone expects all employees to behave and communicate in a manner which will facilitate good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisor. Safety toe shoes and safety glasses are required while in production areas. Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk throughout the office and production areas; have use of hands and fingers to use a computer, telephone, and other office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
