Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Quad Axle Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty quad axle dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, and debris across construction sites. Your expertise will ensure efficient material delivery, adherence to safety standards, and smooth project progression. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects while maintaining the highest safety and operational standards. Duties Safely operate quad axle dump trucks in accordance with federal construction safety regulations and site-specific safety procedures. Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as loaders, excavators, or backhoes, ensuring proper handling and secure transport. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the truck and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Coordinate with site supervisors and utility locating teams to facilitate timely deliveries and support excavation, grading, paving, or utility work activities. Follow construction grading plans and assist with site preparation tasks as needed, including water truck operation or horizontal drilling support. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, inspections, maintenance activities, and safety compliance records. Adhere strictly to all safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and construction site protocols. Requirements Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on heavy equipment such as Caterpillar loaders, graders, excavators, or water trucks. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Strong mechanical knowledge for routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience operating construction machinery including loaders, backhoes, graders, excavators, and horizontal drilling equipment. Knowledge of construction utility work, excavation processes, paving techniques, and site grading procedures. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures. Ability to perform physical tasks including loading/unloading materials and maneuvering around construction sites safely. Construction site experience with a focus on utility locating, excavation support, or heavy equipment operation is highly desirable.
