WV ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, Has immediate openings for an experienced and safety-focused Haul Truck Driver to join our team. This position is based at our Millville, WV Quarry, with travel required to various Aggregate Production locations throughout Maryland and Virginia to support operational needs.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Safely operate haul trucks to transport aggregate, overburden, and other materials throughout the quarry and designated work areas. Load and haul materials between the pit, crusher, stockpiles, processing areas, and other designated locations. Follow designated haul routes, traffic patterns, speed limits, and site-specific operating procedures.

Conduct thorough pre-shift and post-shift inspections of the haul truck and report mechanical issues, damage, or safety concerns promptly. Safely position the haul truck for loading and unloading while maintaining proper communication with loaders, excavators, and other equipment operators. Operate the truck safely on varying terrain, grades, ramps, and changing ground conditions. Monitor payload, material type, and truck capacity to ensure safe and efficient hauling operations. Maintain awareness of personnel, mobile equipment, changing site conditions, and potential hazards within the work area. Perform routine operator-level maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, fluid checks, and other preventative maintenance activities as required. Follow all company safety policies, MSHA regulations, environmental requirements, and established quarry procedures while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, productivity, and teamwork. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Required Work Experience:
Quarry or heavy equipment experience Experience operating haul trucks or similar heavy mobile equipment in a quarry, mine, construction, or aggregate environment is preferred. Consistently follows company safety policies, MSHA regulations, and safe operating practices. Demonstrates the ability to safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment in demanding work environments. Able to recognize equipment issues, perform basic inspections, and communicate maintenance needs promptly. Maintains consistent attendance, arrives prepared for work, and can be relied upon to complete assigned responsibilities. Maintains awareness of haul routes, site conditions, equipment, personnel, and changing operational hazards. Works effectively with supervisors, equipment operators, maintenance personnel, and other quarry team members. Communicates clearly and professionally using radio and other jobsite communication methods. Willing to travel to Aggregate Production locations throughout Maryland and Virginia as operational needs require. Takes pride in their work, maintains equipment and work areas, demonstrates a positive attitude, and is committed to productivity and continuous improvement.
Additional Requirements:
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
