This position requires travel that includes lodging and per diem. The primary responsibility of this role is paving asphalt crossings for railroads, including the operation of dump trucks to transport asphalt. Additional duties include the safe operation of hi-rail vehicles and equipment. To be considered, you MUST have a current Class A or

B CDL. DUTIES, TASKS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operating a dump truck to pick up and drop off asphalt for paving railroad crossings Loading flatbeds or rail cars as necessary Ability to work overtime hours and weekends in all weather conditions Potentially working away from home for weeks at a time Filling out daily paperwork using a smartphone, laptop, or computer device Position-specific Competencies Able to work long hours in all weather conditions Make quick and accurate movements Maintain exact and steady arm/hand positioning movements Perform a rapid, horizontal hand torque action Lift/carry and push/pull objects weighing 25 lbs. (frequently), 50 lbs. (occasionally) Climb ladders and large structures and maintain balance while working on equipment (frequently) Lift and maneuver heavy objects overhead (infrequently) Walk for varied distances on uneven terrain (typically 3-5 miles per week) Maintain muscular exertion over time Perform occasional overhead work for short periods of time Perform occasional bending, stooping, and kneeling Stand for 10 hours a day Travel for weeks at a time Hold a valid driver's license Have had no felonies in the past 7 years Follow all Safety Programs, Policies, and Procedures Completely and accurately fill out daily paperwork Able to learn the basic use of a smartphone Basic mechanical knowledge in order to make small repairs (change hydraulic hose, grease and lube, safety walk-around inspection) Class B CDL required Able to pass pre-employment drug test and random drug tests after hiring Able to pass third-party background check Benefits of JMG Global Competitive hourly rate, negotiable with experience Typically 50-60 hours a week, with time and a half pay after 40 hours All lodging paid for by the company $25 per day for food per diem Paid time off
