Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Auto Transporter to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting vehicles, including passenger cars, trucks and vans from one location to another. Your expertise in driving various truck and trailer combinations is essential. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. Duties Safely operate a variety of truck and trailer combinations while transporting vehicles from auctions and dealerships to various locations. Load and unload vehicles with proper manual handling techniques to prevent damage and ensure safety. Navigate using GPS systems to reach destinations efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and state transportation regulations. Communicate professionally with clients regarding delivery schedules, vehicle status, and any route adjustments. Conduct routine maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to vehicle loading or unloading when necessary. Follow all safety protocols during transit, including proper documentation of deliveries and pickups. Requirements Must be able to pass drug test, we perform random drug test throughout the year. DOT Physical required Valid Class D driver's license is a must; commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred. Proven experience transporting equiptment or vehicles, preferably within the automobile industry. Knowledge of GPS navigation systems and ability to plan efficient routes. Strong understanding of automobiles and familiar with simple auto mechanics. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks associated with vehicle transport. Good physical condition to support long hours on the road and manual handling duties. Commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service while adhering to all safety policies. $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
