The applicant will assist engineers and Senior CAD Technicians in the development of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation Connect OBM developed plans and details with a primary focus on traffic and roadway plan production.
Responsibilities:
Daily in person presence at the Tampa Office location Obtain guidance from Traffic & Roadway Engineers, and Senior CAD Technicians Use computer drafting software to prepare high-quality design plans for signing & pavement marking, traffic signal layouts, temporary traffic control, roadway geometrics, and other transportation related plans Correct mark-up drawings Take verbal direction and hand sketches to create CAD format details Manage project data files Assist in assembling complete plan sets for FDOT and municipal traffic projects Ensure traffic related sheets comply with DOT standards
Qualifications:
2 years of related industry experience. Proficiency in at least one CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation Open Bridge Ability to read and interpret engineering construction drawings Ability to think 3-dimensionally Ability to work independently and accomplish multiple tasks Team-focused and enthusiastic Associates Degree or Technical College About KCA Established in 1976, KCA is a privately-owned multidisciplinary engineering firm that has served the transportation industry for more than 49 years.
