Our NOC Operators serve as the first line of defense, providing monitoring, support, and resolution of hardware and software issues in the field. This isn't a typical help desk role solving user issues, but a proactive monitoring team focused on ensuring IoT devices are consistently operating at optimal levels. This team works 24/7 and collaborates closely with the development team to tackle complex challenges related to traffic and hardware.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Proactively reviewing device health using key performance indicators like uptime, resource allocation, and other critical stats. Responding to alerts and events, providing initial remediation efforts. Monitoring live vehicle and pedestrian traffic to ensure optimal service and identify potential traffic issues. Working on data projects by pulling information from databases to assess ongoing conditions. Supporting clients and partners to facilitate swift solutions. Owning incident management and response, collaborating with subject matter experts to drive resolution. Creating detailed tickets to narrow troubleshooting scope, support continual improvement, and enable reporting on event and incident trends. Contributing to knowledgebase content by capturing lessons learned. Supporting deployment, installation, and optimization projects.
Ideal qualifications:
Strong partnership and customer service orientation. Ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership and urgency. Excitement for working with cutting-edge technology and solving novel problems. Excellent communication skills. Appreciation for continual improvement and desire to contribute to team growth. Flexibility to work in a 24/7/365 environment, including holidays, weekends, and evenings. Fundamental understanding of a wide range of technologies such as networking, IoT architecture, Linux systems, system monitoring, and virtualization.
