City of Deming Job Vacancy Announcement Clerk I, Range 6, $15.00/hr. Open until Filled. The City of Deming is seeking qualified applicants for a regular, full time Clerk I position to the Public Works Department . Requirements of the
Position:
The primary responsibility of the selected employee will be to assist the Public Works Department in a wide variety of clerical and customer service duties as assigned.
Applicant shall possess:
• Valid State of NM Driver's License and good driving record. HS Diploma or GED Knowledge to satisfactorily perform a variety of duties that include spelling, mathematical and technical accuracy; files maintenance and record keeping; simple reports, typing, daily use of standard office machinery, computers, and software; excellent customer service. Ability to read, understand and follow specific written and oral instructions. Ability to read, understand and follow Departmental and City policies, rules, and regulations. Ability to get along well with co-workers. Ability to work and deal with people in a tactful and courteous manner.
