A Traffic Technician conducts field studies to determine traffic volume, speed, effectiveness of signals, adequacy of lighting, and other factors influencing traffic conditions, under direction of traffic engineer.

The Role:
We are currently expanding our crews and looking for a skilled Traffic Signal Electrician/Tech. The ideal candidate has hands-on electrical construction experience, is comfortable operating heavy equipment, and has the technical know-how to troubleshoot traffic control cabinets.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 3+ years of provable experience in traffic signal infrastructure. Strong troubleshooting skills and proficiency in your specific area of trade. Must possess a complete set of professional-grade electrical hand tools. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, reliable transportation to navigate to job sites across the valley, and a track record of dependable attendance. Ability to read and interpret complex electrical diagrams and civil plans. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate effectively with our office and project managers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Journeyman card. IMSA Level I or II Traffic Signal Certification Class A or B Commercial Driver's License Prior experience with NDOT or local municipal traffic specifications. Experience operating bucket trucks, boom lifts, or scissor lifts.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in the Las Vegas climate, including hot summer temperatures, both indoors and outdoors. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs unassisted. Comfortable working at heights, from bucket trucks, on ladders, and in tight spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot traffic signal equipment, including poles, mast arms, signal heads, and pedestrian push buttons. Run underground conduit, pull wire, and terminate high-voltage and low-voltage cables. Set up, wire, and program traffic controller cabinets and electronic components. Troubleshoot circuit boards, loop detectors, and video detection systems. Operate aerial bucket trucks, trenchers, and other heavy equipment safely. Interpret blueprints, electriccal schmeatics, and project specifications. Ensure all work complies with the NEC and local municipal standards. Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, materials used, and quipment status. Maintain a safe, organized job site, adhering strictly to OSHA and roadway/work zone safety standards.
